Harvest™ BenefitsHARVEST™ for Pathways Analysis combines existing public and private data in a consistent knowledge-based ontology for a specific domain of research and/or for across multiple areas of research across the enterprise. Scientists and researchers can now quickly and accurately run prediction scenarios to determine relevance and the nature of complex relationships amongst genes, proteins and pathways. For example, at times, HARVEST™ for Pathways Analysis will show relationships between genes that a researcher did not know existed due to the complexity of the analysis and subject matter. In doing so, this helps researchers collect highly valuable “new” knowledge (see Duke University Medical Center recommendation letter). HARVEST™ for Pathways Analysis stores knowledge in the form of rules, which is far more descriptive than conventional methods, enabling more complex scenarios to be modeled.
